connection information can be entered for a single tcp connection.
each stimulus generated by JTorX will be sent over that connection, as a single line of text,
and each line of text that JTorX receives over that connection will be treated as an observation.

To configure the use of a single tcp connection:

In the JTorX Gui set the Implementation type to "real program, communicating labels via tcp'.
Then, one line lower in the Gui, the text in front of a text field changes to "Hostname!Portnr".
In the text field (to the right of "Hostname!Portnr" something can be entered like:

  • 127.0.0.1!5432
  • 127.0.0.1:5432
  • localhost!5432
  • localhost:5432
  • host.full.domain!5432
  • host.full.domain:5432
