Description

the random number generator uses its own instance of Random(),
but right now it uses the seed that is configured via the GUI.

It would be nice to be able to set a separate seed for the simulator,
so we can vary the seed for the testing-related decisions, without affecting the choices made by the simulator
(the seed is the only influence that we have on the decisions of the simulator)

Probably, we want a way to specify:
  • use testing seed for simulator
  • use separate (specified) seed for simulator

added a separate Seed entry field in the Config pane.
When left empty, this field is automatically filled with a random value; when also the Seed entry field in the Test pane is empty, both Seed fields are filled with the same value.
Once the Seed entry field in the Config pane it is left alone, and will only get a new value when the user enters it explicitly (i.e. it does not track changes to the Seed entry field in the Test pane.
