Description

The crash is in the code that parses terms.
It tries to look at the first character of the line, after removing whitespace at begin and end of line.
This fails when line is empty or contains only whitespace.

The question is what to do with such lines
  • ignore them
  • abort with a useful error message
  • create a special label, and treat it as observation
    • a label that consists of an empty string
    • a label that has some special words like "empty string"
