Description

To indicate the initial state one either has to give it node label 1 (and then there only has to be exactly one node with node label 1 in the graph), or one has to add an invisible node to the graph, and such invisible node then must have a single outgoing edge (without an edge label) to the initial state.

Past versions of yEd (well, at least version 3.2.0.1) had a node attribute 'Transparent', and JTorX recognized this attribute.
It seems that modern versions of yEd no longer have this attribute.
Thus, to create a transparent (invisible) node, of the node that has to become transparent one has to set
  • in the General properties:
    • Fill Color to 'No Color'
    • Line Color to 'No Color'
  • in the Label properties:
    • uncheck Visible

This results in an invisible node.

Unfortunately, current versions of JTorX do not recognize such invisible nodes.
