Summary of the project

In the SamSam project we develop an integrated assessment framework to analyse availability, safety (RAMS), and security together in the same context: usually RAMS and security are analyzed separately from each other. This is undesirable, since they may (negatively) influence each other: measures to improve safety can be exploited by hackers; measures to improve security may reduce the safety or availability. The SamSam project integrates existing safety and security frameworks, on the basis of three industrial cases.
